Summer Taxes are due by September 14th of each year. After that date, 1% interest is charged for every month or part of a month that it remains unpaid. If not paid by February 14th, a 3% penalty is added. After March 1st, the taxes are reported to the county as delinquent and the taxes must be paid to the Ingham County Treasurer in Mason.

Winter Taxes are due on February 14th (or the next work day if the 14th falls on a weekend or holiday). After that date, a 3% penalty is added, plus 1% interest per month or part of a month that it remains unpaid. After March 1st, the taxes are reported to the county as delinquent and the taxes must be paid to the Ingham County Treasurer in Mason.

Partial Payment of Taxes: Lansing Township will accept partial payment of taxes. Contact the Treasurer's office anytime to arrange a payment plan for your taxes during the tax collection season. For example, taxes billed on July 1st could be paid in three installments - July, August, and September; taxes billed in December could be paid in three installments - December, January, and February.

Personal Property Taxes are collected by the Treasurer's office year-round. Ingham County is not involved in collecting delinquent personal property taxes. If you need to make arrangements to pay these taxes, give the Treasurer or Deputy Treasurer a call.

Tax Receipts are available for taxes paid in the current year or for any previous year. Tax information for Tax Years 2000 to present is available immediately by calling the Treasurer's Office. For Tax Years before 2000, please give us two business days to research the information.

Drain Assessments: The only Drain District the Township is currently collecting for is the "Tollgate Drain". This assessment is billed at the end of April and is due in this office by June 1st. If you are planning on paying off your assessment, you must call the Treasurer's Office to obtain a payoff calculation.
